• Support Groups
    • Mind Menders – This important support group, founded by Jeanette Lunstead, assists family members and caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia. This debilitating disease is difficult for one person to handle without help. Mind Mender’s provides a place for caregivers to share information and ideas, and to simply find the peace that comes with knowing that one is not alone in their struggles to care for their loved one Mind Members meets at 10am twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Friday in the Education Building, Room 101/102.
    • Grief Support – Our Gold Canyon UMC Grief Support Group helps those dealing with death, divorce, relocation, job loss, and/or other traumatic experiences that bring about grief and pain. We all know that major loss is an inevitable part of life, but when we meet with others who are experiencing the same or similar emotions, our recovery will hopefully be a little bit easier. The Grief Support group meets every Wednesday at 9am in the Education Building, Room 101/102. For more information, contact Ted & Laurie Christy at lchristy20@yahoo.com.
    • Cancer Support – This active group provides spiritual support, love, friendship, and a helping hand to cancer patients, caregivers and their families. They meet every Wednesday at 11am in the Education Building, Room 101/102. For more information, contact Tom or Dee Ash at deeashe7580@gmail.com.
