Who do YOU say that I am? This is, perhaps, the most profound and important question that any Christian, young, old, or newcomer to the faith, could ask. As Christians, we are called to emulate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Or, you could say, in order to define ourselves as Christians or “little Christs”, me must be willing and able to emulate the life of our Lord and Savior. Jesus is the Lord of our life and the Lord of our death. He is the Lord of the living and the Lord of the dying, and he is the Lord of the dead. Yet, in a world which is filled with so many choices and distractions, it is easy to forget about our Lord and Savior. Who is Christ to you? What did Jesus teach us in the Gospels? How does Jesus continue to teach us today? How do we offer Christ to our community? How do we serve Christ in our community? Before we can do the work of Christ in this world, we must first be able to define who Christ is and how Christ’s Lordship is alive and working within this world. And, it all begins with the question which Jesus Christ asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?”
