In this message, we’ll discover how our faith in Jesus brings us into a family where every barrier falls away. We’ll explore how being part of the Church isn’t just about attending services, but about living out a profound, unifying faith every day. It’s about support, love, and a shared mission to reflect God’s kingdom here on Earth.
Have you ever wondered what a magnet and a front porch have in common? I know it sounds like a setup for a joke but stick with me – you’ll be amazed by how we’re going to use these two things to illustrate the creation and benefits of the Church.
Some people treat the Church like a restaurant. If the experience isn’t to their liking, they’ll go somewhere else or not go at all. This is beyond unfortunate. It sets up expectations for the Church that it was never intended to fulfill. In this message, we will look at how Jesus intended the Church to be based on relationships that connect us.
Some people think that the Church is similar to a cruise ship. It’s all about the church meeting their needs. And, if the cruise ship doesn’t measure up, they’ll go looking for one that does. But this isn’t a biblical view of the church. The perspective is more like another ship. Can you guess which one?
A community of Christians can do so much more together than we can as individuals. Yet authentic community can be difficult to find because there are barriers to community that impede it’s healthy formation. In this message we will look at how to hurtle over those barriers to community.
God has promised to accept us, so we as the people of God should accept one another.
